This is Jara an eleven year old lady, with a very big personality and an even bigger appetite (even empty pea pods). We have shared our days continually for all of her years. She has been a major friend and teacher to my life and I love her dearly. Denis.

Bella from Western Australia
Bella is a five year old red and white malamute with some very interesting and annoying traits such as opening the fridge and stealing food from me and my neighbours.
She loves to go for walks at the Lesmurdie Falls and she loves swimming and going in the car for a drive. For instance one day she hopped in the car and wouldn't get out so I drove into the carport and she hopped out.
I was given Bella when she was 2 yrs old by a friend. Another trait is that she hates baths but if there's a puddle of water she does not mind getting wet.

Check out the Winterpaws Website Link, a site dedicated to helping the rescue of Samoyed, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, and other northern spitz breeds in Australia.
They are not a rescue group but offer their services as a resource to those who are involved in rescue. Any dogs advertised on their site by a rescue group is done free of charge. Where they are notified they will also place pictures of dogs who have been impounded and are currently on death row.
If you do not see a dog on their site that suits you, feel free to contact them and they will add your details to their mailing list. Do think very carefully about choosing a northern breed dog as a pet. They want their rescues to go to their forever home and a quick look through of their site will provide you with background information and links for each breed. Do feel free to contact them with any questions and where possible they will direct you to the most appropriate person.
